The Best Topwater Bites in Fly Fishing, with Chris Hunt

Chris Hunt is a longtime outdoor writer with credits ranging from Hatch Magazine to Field and Stream. He's also a managing partner in Hatch Adventure Travel, a full-service travel booking company that focuses on helping clients discover the best fly-fishing destinations all over the world.

Chris will give a presentation to the Diablo Valley Fly Fishing Club titled, “The Best Topwater Bites in Fly Fishing,” which will cover some of the best fly-fishing destinations for anglers seeking topwater action, ranging from Patagonian brown trout and Manitoba pike to Amazon wolffish and Texas coast redfish. Dry flies, poppers, gurglers, mouse patterns – all elicit some of the most dramatic and visual takes in the fly-fishing realm. Chris will share his favorites, and the places where anglers can find these special fish.

Beyond the presentation, this is the DVFF’s opportunity to meet the editor/founder of Hatch Magazine and Hatch Adventure Travel. This is a chance to inquire about your top bucket list destination and get the inside scoop from the guy who has “been there, done that” and got the photos to prove it!
