Come experience world-class top water smallmouth bass fishing! Southwestern Oregon’s beautiful Umpqua River is one of a handful of places in Oregon where a determined angler can land 50 to 100 smallmouth bass on a pleasant late spring or summer day. This is a world-class fishery for both top water and subsurface bass fishing! Fish sizes range from 8 to 20 inches. The bigger fish can get up to 3 to 4 pounds. Once the water temperatures rise, the Umpqua’s impressive population of feisty bass go on a binge and are available in just about every piece of water. We will also have the option of leaving the Umpqua and drifting the close-by blue-ribbon McKenzie River for trout, on the second full day of fishing.
