It that time again to hunt those large Lahontan Cutthroat Salmonids! We will migrate to Sutcliffe Nevada to our favorite Paiute Indian reservation for three days of glory and fame. These large fish can be taken with beetles and buggers on the bottom or midges near the surface. Three to six foot ladders are generally used; float tubes can be used when the winds are light. Six to 8 wt. rods are ideal.
As of now our lodging is at capacity but many other accommodations can be had from Crosbys Lodge. Bedding down on beach and/or parking lot in RVs or tents is also an option as is procuring a hotel room in Reno and driving to the lake 37miles away each day. A state fishing license is not required but a tribal daily license is; it cost about $10.
See you on the beach!
