Overview:
Manzanita Lake is a lake located in Lassen Volcanic National Park. The name means "little apple" in Spanish. Located near the park entrance, the lake is open for fishing and holds a fair number of rainbow and brown trout and is rated as a blue-ribbon fly fishery by the state of California Department of Fish and Game. It is limited to catch and release with a single, barbless hook and artificial lure. The lake can be fished from the shore or more often using a non-powered watercraft, float-tube or pram. Rental kayaks may be available.
