As the runoff tapers off into the North Yuba, pockets and pools form over 30+miles of scenic, roadside accessible water. Avoid the crowds and enjoy the quiet, quaint towns of Downieville and Sierra City. Campsites have been reserved at the Wild Plum Campground near Sierra City and we'll be fishing various pullouts off of the highway.

Many of you have heard of or knew Jon Baiocchi. This was his favorite river in all of California for good reason. One could spend all day on a stretch, switching from tightlining, dry-dropper, and indicator nymphing, picking fish out of pools and pockets like the ones seen below. This outing is great for beginners, families, and people who prefer numbers over size. Wading is very manageable but not necessary.
