From the NorCal Fly Guides Website:

A team of friendly and knowledgeable fly fishing guides, that are dedicated to making your adventure on the water with us as enjoyable and informative as possible. We want you to succeed in all of your fishy endeavors, and we will take the time with you to make sure that you have all the techniques and skills necessary to catch fish wherever you go. Float or Walk and wade with us on one of Northern California's finest rivers and streams and we will accommodate our guiding style to meet your needs and abilities. With our extensive fly fishing knowledge and experience on waters all over Northern California, we will guide you on a fly fishing trip you will not soon forget.

Two days of fishing staying near Yuba City as a hub. Details on lodging to come. Price will be $550 for the two days.

Yuba River

The Yuba, located just outside of Marysville, Ca, is our "go-to" river for Wild Rainbows throughout the year and gives us the most diverse river we fish. Here we can catch fish utilizing a variety of techniques from nymphing, swinging to dry fly fishing too. The Yuba Trout are legendary for their fight and feeding frenzy that takes place during the Skwala hatch and the "egg bite". Covering plenty of water and precise presentations are key to fooling these well educated fish. That being said, it's well worth the effort.

The Yuba's Daguerre Dam is our "go-to" river for shad, stripers and even trout. We use a jet boat to access this section and we wade fish. Late Spring initiates the shad and striper run. When the shad are in, the action can be non-stop. The stripers will be around through late summer. There's a good population of schoolies and even some monsters in the system too. The trout fish is pretty good as well. The Yuba has it all and we clock more hours on it than anyone else.

Feather River

We log more days on this river than any other. We do so for two simple reasons, an abundance of salmon and steelhead. The Feather has the lengthiest run of steelhead in Northern California and can be targeted year round. However, its known for its prolific steelhead runs in both Spring and Fall, which are primetime. Double digit hookups then are the norm and not the exception. While most of your fall fish range 2-4lbs and their Spring counterparts are double that, fish to 10lbs are possible and their high-flying acrobatics will provide you with quite a thrill. Fall is all about the "egg bite", best in the state and Spring is all about trouty bugs. Both swinging and nymphing techniques are used to trick these sometimes picky eaters. And if that's not enough, we also get King Salmon that dominate the river from Super to Late Fall. These brutes average 15-20lbs and some over 30. Don't forget long runs and frenetic head shakes will keep your heart pounding.
