Contra Loma holds some huge bass, feisty trout, and one of the largest bluegill populations in the East Bay without the distant drive or big crowds.
There is plenty of room to fish from the bank, though many will choose to fish from a watercraft due to the relative ease of launching and accessing fantastic fishing within 100 yards. If you’re breaking in new equipment, this reservoir features the safety of stillwater with lots of shoreline nearby.
This is the perfect outing for kids - they need time and attention in the great outdoors and we have loaner equipment/coaching available.
