Join Bill King on this annual steelhead outings to the beautiful Trinity River, located west of Redding and about a 4-hour drive from Walnut Creek. We will spend two days floating the river with Confluence Outfitters and their group of very knowledgeable guides.
The Trinity is one of the West Coast’s most productive steelhead waters, with most fish in the 3-4 lb. range and some fish up to 8 lbs. or more. We will spend our nights in Weaverville at the Gold Rush-49er Motel and eat breakfast and dinner at local restaurants, with lunch provided by the guides.
Each outings will reserve two slots open for newer members, so, if you are a newer member and a would like a chance to land a “Fish of a Thousand Casts,” please join us.
The cost, including two days of guided fishing, tips, gas, motel and eating out, will run about $870. Because both the guide boats and the motel are predicated on two anglers is necessary, once you sign up and pay the guide deposit, you are committed to attending the outing and will be responsible for your full share of the guide fee of $525 plus an estimated $150 for your share of the motel cost. If you need to back out for any reason, the Outing Leader will try to find a replacement (though it’s in your best interest to try to find a replacement yourself). If a replacement is not found, you will still owe your share of $675.
