Lake Almanor
8:00 am – 8:30 am Meeting spot: Plumas Pines Resort / Introductions. Relocate to Gray’s Cabin. Unpaid balances are due. The guidebook has been completed, and all outstanding paperwork has been signed and submitted.
8:30 am-10:30 am Tour of Midge Fishing Spots along the west side of Lake Almanor.
10:30 am-11:30 am Going over equipment and rigging shallow water and deep water indicator systems.
A look at midge fishing rods, reels, lines, leaders, and tippet.
11:30 am-12:30 pm Lunch and getting a participant's personal float tube/pontoon ready to fish
12:30 pm-3:30 pm Boat for on-water demonstrations, breaking down the lake, and showing where and why fish will be found. Demonstrate each tactic, including how to position and cast.
3:30 pm-4:00 pm Go over the day’s events and answer any questions.
End of Workshop
Participants required to bring personal watercraft, personal flotation device (coastguard approved), fishing gear, food and drinks.
