Swap Meet
About this event
Come early before our March 17th club meeting to find the best deals. For newer members, this is a great opportunity to find some gear to get you out on the water. For others, it's a chance to swap or sell excess gear to make room for whatever is next.
Here's what you need to know:
For Sellers
-
Bring your item(s) to the tables at the entrance.
- On the tag provided, write your name, cell phone number and asking price. Tape this to your item(s).
- Display your item(s) at a table. You may stay with your item, leave it there and shop, or carry your item with you. Having the tag on your item shows it is for sale.
- Once sold, the tag is removed by the seller.
For Buyers
-
Call/text the number on the tagged item you are interested in.
- Meet the seller at the location of the item(s).
- Make the deal.
Yes, you can swap, buy and sell. Buyers pay sellers directly, using cash, Venmo, or Zelle as suggestions. The DVFF is not managing any of the financial aspects of the swap meet.
There will be a “FREE” table for items that you want to let go of such as flies you don’t use.
There will also be a donation option available. Any item you don’t want to take home to store again, the DVFF has a solution. Our annual auction is around the corner, and we are accepting donations to raise money for conservation. Your donations can be accepted that evening. If you have a larger item to donate, arrangements can be made.
Yes, the swap meet is on St. Patrick’s Day. So in the spirit of the day, we will celebrate our friendships. The DVFF is providing dessert. We welcome you to bring your own beverages and any food you like. And may the Irish saying be true for you and yours. “May your home always be too small to hold all your friends”. We will see you there.
