Montana - Madison River and Yellowstone

Mike Grubman leading a Montana and Yellowstone Park fishing vacation/outing for DVFF members. We will fish the Madison River from 7/10 to 7/13 and then move to Yellowstone from 7/13 to 7/18. This is designed as a group camping trip, but folks are free to arrange their own lodging.
Starting the trip, we will be driving to Twin Falls, up early and fishing on the Madison by noonish the next day. We are camping three nights at the Beaver Creek National Forest Campground next to the Madison River/Quake Lake and will be fishing the wade only parts of the river at $3 Bridge, Raynolds Pass and between Hegben and Earthquake Lakes, targeting rainbows and browns to 24". Those who wish may book alternative lodging (as of 3/26 the Campfire Lodge still has 6 cabins available. Campfire Lodge Website). Also, optional guided float trips for those who wish to book one through Ennis or West Yellowstone fly shops, or nearby Galloup's Slide Inn..
In Yellowstone, campsites have been reserved at the Canyon Campground, which has showers, laundry and cafeteria services, a store, gas station, etc.. Participants may choose alternative accommodations, e.g., the lodge. We will principally target 12-20" cutthroats on Soda Butte Creek and the Lamar River. Additional options include Slough Creek, the Yellowstone River and if still open the Firehole River. There will be ample time to see the Upper and Lower Falls, geysers and wildlife.
Cost includes the drive up and motel each way, campsite fees, licenses and camping provisions. Entrance to Yellowstone is free and both campsites are 1/2 price to each vehicle with someone 62+ who has or gets an America the Beautiful Lifetime Senior Pass.
