“The Bollibokka Club has owned the exclusive private lodging and fishing rights to the lower 5 mile section of the McCloud River flowing into Shasta Lake for over 120 years. This formerly inaccessible private section is famous for its big, fat native rainbows and healthy brown trout, especially in the Fall months. The river is wild and beautiful. There is a good fishermans trail along the whole stretch, with several driving access points to limit the hiking distances, but wading is required to fish the river well. Wading can be difficult, so you must know and respect your limits.
Now managed by The Fly Shop in Redding, DVFF was again offered to secure the Bollibokka Club’s November 4-9, 2026 week, which fortunately for us, a former member had retired. This outing allows for a maximum of ten anglers per day to stay at the Bollibokka Club main lodge and Rock House and fish on this five mile private section.
DVFF has contracted with The Fly Shop, and prepaid half of the $10,835 cost to reserve this for the full week. Provided we fill each spot for each day, the cost is $1084 per person for the full six fishing days. To better accommodate those working, or those not wishing to spend the full six days, we are offering split weeks at $542 for three days of stay and fishing; either Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday, or Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
NOTE: This signup is for Bollibokka Club #2, the second three days; 11/7-9/2026. If you want to signup for 11/4-6/2026 use Bollibokka Club #1 signup. If you want to signup for the whole week please sign up for both Bollibokka Club #1 and #2 outings.
Hearty meals will be planned and cooked communally, which typically cost about $15 per person per day.
Because DVFF has already prepaid half of the $10,835 cost to reserve the venue for the full week, we request that each registrant also pay a nonrefundable 50% deposit with their reservation. Although this outing has been easly filled (with a waiting list) for the past two years, please understand that the cost per person would need to increase incrementally if we do not have 10 members registered for each half week. We ask that any Bollibokka Club outing registrant finds another club member to fill their spot, should they wish to cancel at a later date.”
