2 to 3 mile backpack trip into the north fork Stanislaus River / nearby creeks. The fish range from small to mid-size rainbows and they can be a challenge to find and catch.  Access to the river/creeks will be moderate to highly technical as much of the walking while we fish will be off-trail.  We will be wet wading to keep the weight of our packs lighter.         

Participants need to have their own backpacking gear including a bear canister / food for this 2 to 3 night trip and have some prior backpacking experience.  The trail-in is moderate but somewhat technical.  Excellent hiking and wading skills are required.

We will have a pre-trip Zoom meeting 3 to 4 weeks prior to the trip to review backpacking experience and gear.
