About this event
The third edition of the DVFF Dry Fly School will kick off on Saturday 1/18 at 1:30PM in Danville. The school covers bugs, flies to match, gear, techniques, reference materials and offers several Fish Talks and outings. This program is geared for advanced fishers and participants should have mastered the essential fly-fishing skills. Outings include stream and Stillwater venues, and a watercraft is required for some events. We fish Fall River, Hat Creek, Baum Lake, Lake Almanor including local creeks, Hot Creek, Upper Owens, San Joaquin, and various Eastern Sierra alpine streams plus others.
The registration fee of $30 covers basic handouts, insect vials, Western Hatches book and some dry fly tools. Can you name the timing and locations of the California Big Bug Events? Join us and dust up some hackles…already an expert??? you’ll fit right in as a coach.
