Fishing the Lower Yuba on the UC Davis property. Each day will be limited to 15 fishers. Participants need to sign-up and pay for each day they want to attend.

River access is generally easy. As for the wading, it can go from easy to very difficult. The upper river section requires somewhat aggressive hiking and wading. Early Spring can bring great fishing to the Yuba, especially if the March Brown’s, PMDs, and various caddis should be present, but nymphing always produces fish and possibly Steelhead. You will need to have a Steelhead card in addition to your standard inland fishing license.

We will meet at the access gate between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., where registrants will have to sign a UC waiver and show COVID-19 vaccination cards before entering the property. We need to be off the property before dusk. There is a covered pavilion with picnic tables overlooking the water that provides a pleasant place to eat your lunch.
