What is this?
The roundtable on September 28 will be about
Dicosmoecus
, AKA the October Caddis. This is one of the most anticipated hatches in Northern California for fly fishers. During the month of October, fly fishers make their way to the Upper Sacramento or the lower McCloud to test their dry fly fishing skills. Although there are thousands of October caddis in flight and ovipositing day after day, the fish aren’t always keyed into feeding on them, leaving many fly fishers baffled.
During this roundtable, we hope to discuss the life cycle, best flies choices, tactics, fly fishers successes/failures, ideas and theories, favorite flies, and whatever else comes up. Everyone is encouraged to share and ask questions. We anticipate a full group this month, so please sign up early. If you have any questions, please contact Todd Pond or Mark Likos. Until September 28, be safe and enjoy.
