We’ll be centered in the small town of Downieville. From town, there are options of three small Sierra creeks, the lower North Fork of the Yuba, which has brown trout coming up from New Bullards Bar Reservoir in the fall or the upper North Fork of the Yuba, with endless pocket water. The terrain is generally rigorous in the upper sections. Martin plans to scout the fishing a few days ahead to point people to productive water.
